A Million Silk Bandanas

This has been a long time coming, and it’s still got a long way to go, but may I proudly present… my take on the photoshop/visual challenge that was started months ago! There’s a little blurb about the challenge on the home page and in the footer of the site at the moment, if you need more information. The basic idea is to take the words from a song and to depict them visually in any way that takes your fancy. I was doodling with my graphics tablet during a study break, and this was the result. As usual, click to see more detail. The song is Michelangelo, by Emmylou Harris. The verse I had in mind:

“Last night I dreamed about you
I dreamed that you were weeping
And your tears poured down like diamonds
For a love beyond all keeping
And you caught them one by one
In a million silk bandanas that I gave you
Long ago
Michelangelo”

Thank you! :-D I’m quite pleased with it (although, it doesn’t match the lyrics so much… kind of a cop-out)

I have found that bandanas you should not always appeal to me because they will fallout of place or that knot will come undone. There are actually bandanas along with elastic while in the back so your bandana cannot come untied. This is often a big help for my situation because We don’t like to worry in relation to my tresses getting all smudged.
