At the Bottom of the Garden

Okay, boys and girls. It’s time to see who’s been paying attention! This picture is, of course, all my own work – photo, drawing, photoshopping and all. I sepia’d it to make it fit for Monochrome Monday, but there is a colour version if you’d like to check it out.

These toadstools popped up in our front yard overnight, and I managed to get a few close-ups before the gardener came and mowed the lawn. This wasn’t the prettiest of the fungi, but it was in the running for ‘best shape’ award – and in sepia, it looks good! The moral of this story is ‘take photos of everything.’ Even the ugly, the blurry, the over-saturated shots are worth something, somewhere!

Like I said, it’s not the prettiest toadstool! But I like to think it represents Autumn and the season of everything dying off. I tried to keep the pixie (in the coloured version at least) dark and not-too-shiny, as well.

Also, har har. You’re a trifle too clever, Mr. Roo =P
