Church Challenge

Since I’ve been so absorbed in photoshop the last few days, I decided to put a challenge out there and see what happened. I was shooting for a Christmassy theme, but we compromised and came up with a stock photo of a church (well, a chapel) to use as the base for the challenge. The rules: the picture could be added to, taken away from or manipulated in any way that appealed, as long as some element of it remained in the final piece. This picture is the original:

And here is my manipulation of it. It didn’t turn out anything like I imagined, through lack of skill on my part. Still, it was fun and challenging in a totally different way from photoshops that I usually do for myself! What do you think? (click to see enlarged version)

Just a suggestion Daniel, …but I think Anna would appreciate real feedback on her pic for the competition.

Anna’s is very well polished, probably the most polished out of the three of us :-p. Loving the light from the window, fantastic job! And you made it night time! ..and all sparkly-happiness-magic-happens themed (…). :-p!

    I put mine up too! – http://tiggy.ii-blog.com/

Thought how does this get judged? From others? Ourselves?

LOL you’re something that isn’t very nice. =P I guess, at least now I know you’ve read it (which is what I was complaining about, for everyone else’s info. sigh.)

  • Andrew Says:

you were complaining about me not reading it?! :-o …well i did take a bit of time to get there :-p

Hm, interesting. No, I replied to Dan. It should’ve been under there. :-P And geez, you did take your time! you weren’t even ONLINE when I posted it. Talk about slack!
