Commonwealth Bank
Just a quick photo that I snapped today.
This is the second floor of the Commonwealth Bank building on Brisbane St. They’ve recently finished repainting it, and It looks fantastically bank-y in shades of grey. Unfortunately, there were too many cars, signs, people and trees in the way to get a decent photo of the ground floor.
It’s amazing how much you discover when you’re looking for it! For just a couple of blocks I walked along looking for decent shots of the old buildings of Launceston – I’ve seen dates and names embossed that I hadn’t noticed before, and noticed the new colour schemes as buildings have been repainted. I even noticed the absence of grass growing out of the roof of the buildings across the road from bus stop E. I always make some effort to look at the buildings as I walk around town, because they really are beautiful. I’m not sure why it was so different today. Maybe because I was looking through a camera lens.
Anyway, happy Saturday! ^.^

The pic looks great, and if I didn’t know the building exactly I would almost have to say that it looks fake, as though it looks like its been created in a 3D Rendering program

It is true that when you look around you tend to notice hidden details. I know which building this is, but I don’t think I’ve actually looked at the second floor properly. My attention is usually drawn straight towards the yellow diamond corporate icon: I must tune my brain to respond less to finance and more to architecture.
