Day 30 – Something Inspiring

Negative Space is a beautiful thing.

But Pinterest… oh, Pinterest. This is a website that works a little like a dozen other content-saving and sharing sites, but with much more love and craftiness. I discovered it a month or two ago, and it has become a part of my daily routine to spend a few minutes just sifting through the wondrous and the very inspiring things that are pinned every minute.

Basically, if you have a Pinterest account you can ‘pin’ photos and videos onto your pinboards. I have a collection of stuff that I’ve just picked up and loved. There are decorating ideas for my dream home on another board, and a whole board dedicated to all things Owl. There are pinboards for travel, for photography ideas, for recipes… and each pin links back to the site where it was originally found… I can’t tell you how many amazing blogs I’ve started following through links on Pinterest! And there’s two ways to find new things to pin. You can search and sift through everyone else’s pins, and find things that interest you too (be warned… it’s a heady, endless jungle of inspiration out there!) Or you can pin things you find as you surf the net in your day-to-day travels.

Pinterest serves both as a digital scrapbook of amazingness and a handy-dandy address book with all your favourite links for things to try out/read/buy/create some day. You should totally head over and check it all out!
