Day Four – Redesign a Book Cover
I spent ages trying to get inspired for this challenge… Thoughts of Harry Potter, Twilight and my favourite books were spinning in my head for hours before I linked them up to this idea. What would a cover of a classic look like if it were aimed at today’s young adult audience (namely, twilight fans)? Turns out, it’s not a very original idea (This is a good article about the way that Wuthering Heights is being – some would say – exploited), but I decided to do it anyway.
I think Jane Eyre is possibly my favourite classic novel ever. As much as I hate the hype that surrounds the Twilight series and as much as it kills me a little bit inside to in any way link the slightly trashy writings of Stephanie Meyer with Charlotte Bronte (yes, I read the whole series, and loved them… but it was a bit like eating McDonalds… it might be enjoyable, but the guilty feeling that you’ve just eaten a lot of junk food stays with you) I ended up doing it.
The flower is mustard. Six literary internets for you if you can tell me why! And naturally, it would look a lot better if I just photo-manipulated the whole thing… but this is a drawing challenge, isn’t it?

stairs up to the attic? I must admit I do think the twilight cover style looks cool.
