Death of a Poppy
Dear Diary.
Today was an excellent day, despite the rain and the off-and-on gloominess of the weather. I ate cheesecake, i watched a giant Broccoli walking around, was offered a dancing lesson and watched the fourth year bEd students getting ready to leave uni behind them (that mean’s I’m almost a fourth year myself… eep!)
After a maths lesson that was fairly mundane, we left the uni campus behind us to traverse forth in search of ribbons. The ramshackle carpark outside the fabric disposal shop provided an unexpected flash of spring… a dozen red poppies scattered, growing up through a patch of gravel in the otherwise bitumen-ed area. We collected one each… hence the subject of today’s photo.
It turned a little pop-arty, and I hope you enjoy it’s starkness as much as I do!

indeed, no. It is my poppy! I kept the petals
Its a little overexposed, but that’s mostly from the tweaking, trying to get the colour back to bright.
I arranged the flower on white ‘puter paper, is how I took the photo!
