I have indeed pulled out the old family photos once more, and found this one among them. Most of the other photos from this year-ish show my grandfather, at the time maybe a couple years younger than I am, sporting a smallish sort of moustache. I much prefer this one. I wonder what brought that cute little quirk to the corner of his mouth, and the glimmer in his eye? That smile isn’t quite the same as in other photos… just another moment past that leaves me wondering what, why and wherefore.

    aww, that’s an adorable/awesome photo (and about as far as I’ll go on commenting on your grandfather’s looks, cos me commenting on your grandfather’s looks just seems… weird, lol)! Is this WWII? Was he shipped out anywhere? I think I remember you once posting medals or something? I’d like to hear this potential story. :-)
