I Cut My Mother’s Hair

I just snipped away most of mum’s hair – leaving it about an inch all over. As you can see from the photo, there wasn’t much to take away anyway! This is the second time she’s lost her hair through the chemo process, and while it’s arguably better than cracked, dry and bleeding hands and feet that constitute some of the other side effects we’ve been through, her self-esteem falls pretty low before the hair grows back. Right now she’s all soft and wispy and fragile, but I can’t wait til her hair starts growing into the soft, baby-duck-like fuzz that is absolutely adorable (and pattable).

Today is the first of October! Dan and I have declared October a photo-a-day month. That means we’ll be taking a photo to show what’s happening in our lives and posting it every day. I’d like to say that one day a week I can use an old photo, or an extra from one of the other days… but apparently that would be cheating. So lets see how good I am at this… ;-)
