While I was in Ringarooma looking after my niblings, Henry would find himself stuck at home with me while the girls were at school and Jo was visiting Martin in the hospital. I thought it might be tough, finding enough to keep him amused for hours at a time with noone else around (it surely was more difficult to entertain the girls!) But Henry really was the easiest child in the world to babysit! He’d head out onto the back porch, which is fenced in, and push Tyke around, play with pushers and prams and a baby rocking horse and spend ages taking things in and out of the assorted gumboots on the back step! I got this snap, which isn’t overly great because I was on the wrong side of the door, but makes me smile nonetheless.
