My April Muse
After spending Easter weekend at my sister’s (oh, what fun! Egg decorating and Easter treats to my heart’s delight!), I came home and promptly spent a day and a half in bed with a disgusting head cold that totally deserves not even being mentioned ever again. Also, my only client for the rest of the week cancelled, and I found I had a week off! Wonderful recuperation time, I have missed you indeed. Anyway, I’m feeling a whole heap better today, and it’s just as well, because it’s my niece Alice’s turn to stay the night, and I’ve been trying to come up with innovative ways to keep her busy and feeling loved! One of these (rather self-serving) activities was an outdoors photoshoot of her posing for me in various Autumn-y scenes. I may have mentioned this before, but… those freckles! Squee!
Today we picked apples, did the grocery shopping, made a unique apple-carrot-guava-pomegranate juice combo, baked an Apple struesel crumble cake, got lunch, took photos, played uno (she won) and argued about who got to cuddle smudge. A day well spent, I think!
