Psuedo Tiger Blue-Eyes
I took this photo just before seven yesterday morning… I had to be online to sign up for uni modules, and as I was reaching across to plug my laptop in, I bumped my phone. The shadows created by the backlight under Possum’s nose were fascinating, and she patiently endured ten minutes of bright things in her eyes and strange blinking orange lights before turning her back on me.
I had to slow down the shutter speed to let enough light in, and since I was in bed still it was rather difficult to use a mini-tripod, (and Poss wouldn’t stop purring!) so the photos have a bit of a motion blur thing going on.
But I love this photo… it’s got something of the classical tiger print to it, with shades of studio portrait and just a hint of big-bad-underworld mug shot to it. Most photos of Possum turn out more menacing than anything, even when she’s purring up a storm.
