Sharing Saturday – Tiny Birds
I’ve been exploring a vast web of blogs in recent days, and I felt it was only fair to give you a chance to explore some of them with me! Right on the very top of my list comes Little Doodles – a blog by British artist Kate Wilson. She’s a little elusive – it took me a good half-dozen links from other artsy blogs to finally come across her own site, but it was absolutely worth the trawl.
The definite highlight of Kate’s work (for me) are her tiny birds. These inky, sketchy, illustrative drawings (sometimes with a caption, often without) are totally beyond hyperbole. Simply… SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! That about sums it up. I’m saving my pennies for a couple of her prints – sold online at her Etsy store – and greedily feeding my cute-bird-with-foodstuffs obsession whenever I can on her website.
I absolutely *must* own a print of this bird by Kate Wilson! It's just perfect.
In addition to arty birds, her blog also has a distinct flavour of fashion running through it. I wouldn’t know the first thing about Prada, but I always enjoy the fashion plate sketches and the interesting commentary that accompanies her ‘gimme gimme gimme’ posts.

I must admit that I’ve chosen a very me-oriented arty blog today… but since I’m the last thing from original and amazing, I’m sure a few of you will enjoy it as well… if only for those squee-worthy birdies!
