Tulip Daze

Out in the garden, sit in the sunshine, look at all the pretty flowers grow…

Today’s weather is absolutely gorgeous. It’s warm enough to heat up the car while you run into the supermarket, and the sunshine is a little too bright for my poor, cave-blind eyes. The  sun shining on these tulips this morning was too perfect to resist, so here’s my photo for today! To me, the colours seem a bit overdone, a little too saturated. But this is true to life, so I decided not to tone them down… I just isolated the gorgeous red and green. I’m quite proud of this little effort, actually. I love the orangey yellow colours at the base of the flower. This crop is to fit the site… the original is a lot longer with more stalk. you can see it on Flickr. That’s about all I’ve got for you today! Hope you enjoy it ^.^

It almost looks like it is going pop-art-ish maybe? I love it, the vibrant colours really work in my lil’ head :) It looks like something that you would buy printed on a big canvas in Harvey Norman or somewhere like that .. not saying your work looks commerical at all but do you know what I mean?
I am going to shut up now before I cannot climb out of this hole any more!
