Two Turtledoves
I picked up these two gorgeous little birdies in town this morning. We were up early because Mum went into the Holman Clinic to start her new course of chemo at 8.30, and I decided to brave the drizzly, sticky weather and spend some ‘me’ time in town. I visited all my favourite shops – Rosie Mack’s, Content, Fullers, Birchalls (oh! the art supplies!), House, Croplines – and a few necessary ones (Target, Myer, Strandbags) before spending an enjoyable half hour in the library then coming home. I picked up these ceramic birds for $4.95 each at Rosie Mack’s – a tiny little store in The Avenue that’s lined with shelves to the ceiling, and full of dainty little knicknacks, crockery and linen stuff. It’s so full there is hardly room to move between the tables and the walls… but there’s always something I just can’t pass up hidden away in a corner.
I can’t walk past interior decorating stores. What’s your shopping demon of choice?
