Uh oh!
Of all the rotten times for my laptop to be out of action, this has to be in at least the top five. Not only do I have a big workload for uni, I’ve got a blog challenge that I can’t complete! Well, kind of.
The thing is, I usually just pop my camera SD card into the slot on my laptop and – hey presto! happy snaps. Unfortunately, no other computer in the house has a card reader, and so I’m sitting here tapping my fingers aimlessly. Of course, after about five minutes angst, it did occur to me that I could use the cable to connect my camera to the PC and there wouldn’t be any problems at all! Once I dug through my box of cables and found the right one for the job, however, I discovered that my camera *really* doesn’t care. I’ve installed the drivers, done everything it told me to, and the camera simply won’t turn on when the USB cable is plugged into it. Not only that, it won’t turn on again unless I take the batteries out and then put them back in!
I think I can come up with a workaround (transfer the photos to my camera memory, then back onto an XD card, then into my dad’s camera, then connect THAT to the computer…) but there won’t be a photo up until tomorrow night.
So, y’all have a good Monday, y’hear?
