Up Here
Hey there, and welcome to the first day of spring in the Sunny Southern Hemisphere! At least, the sun was in all the places I was in, and I had a very enjoyable, responsibility- and care-free day! I haven’t realised until the last few days that I’ve been stuck in a muddy, sticky rut – and now that I’m out of it, I’m flying.
Today we travelled over the sideling to Scottsdale, on to Bridport where we had (an incredibly large) lunch, then to Ringarooma and my sister’s home. We were just following the road, getting a glimpse of the immediate North East. It was nice to be without a timetable, without agenda and simply go, to seek what we may find.
I learned that as a tour guide, I totally fail. My standard answer to a question has been “I don’t know”, and my statements of fact have been very double-minded: “ This is such-and-such. Unless it’s something else.” However, we never actually got lost, and I found I possessed a small amount of information that was slightly interesting about the area! Maybe with a little more practise I’d improve.
Here’s a ‘tweaked’ image today, anyway. It’s not a big thing, just some stream-of-consciousness thoughts flying through my brain, mixed up with a photo of the ‘up here’.
